Terms of Service

You sign in with Google. You must be at least 18, or 16 with a parent or guardian’s consent, and the information you provide must be accurate. You’re responsible for activity under your account. One person, one account: don’t impersonate others or create accounts to game the rankings.

You keep full ownership of the intellectual property in your submissions. Proov never claims your work. To run the platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and promote your submissions and profile on Proov and in Proov’s own marketing of the platform, for example, showing your build on the challenge page, your profile, and the leaderboard. You can end this licence for specific content by deleting it or your account (subject to reasonable operational delays and copies already shared publicly).

When you submit work, you confirm that:

• It is your own work (or your team’s), and you have the right to submit and license it as described above.
• It doesn’t infringe anyone else’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• It isn’t illegal, hateful, harassing, deceptive, or malicious, and contains no malware.
• Any co-authors you name genuinely contributed and have agreed to be credited.

Submissions are locked once made, and become public when judging opens. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Each challenge is decided by its named judge, whose decision is final and made at their sole discretion. Reactions from the crowd are applause. They do not decide the winner and are not a vote. Points, wins, and rankings are computed from platform activity and shown on your profile. We may correct scores affected by abuse or error.

Proov itself is free and takes no fee. Where a challenge offers a cash prize or other reward, it is provided by that challenge’s organiser or sponsor and is subject to the terms stated on the challenge and to applicable law and taxes. Proov facilitates but does not guarantee any reward, opportunity, job, or outcome. Rewards are enabled, never promised.

• Don’t scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the platform.
• Don’t manipulate rankings, reactions, or judging, or create fake accounts.
• Don’t harass other builders or post unlawful content.
• Don’t use Proov to build a competing dataset of builders or to recruit off-platform in violation of these terms.

Proov is an evolving, early-stage product. We may change, suspend, or remove features, and we may update these terms as it grows. For significant changes we’ll update the “last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use Proov means you accept the updated terms.

You can stop using Proov and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or the law, or to protect Proov and its builders.

Proov is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or opportunities arising from your use of Proov. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
